People in Robot Suits

A couple noteworthy robot type stories came up lately. First of all, the internet is buzzing about the Ironman trailer, which was a re-edit of the comic con footage. It looks great and it only takes two seconds to realize Robert Downey Jr is the perfect guy to play Tony Stark. I have no doubt this will be one of the better comic book movies to come out for a while because the people involved really care about the source material. There have been so many mediocre comic book movies lately I think it's about time someone showed how you do it right.

The second robot movie to hit the news lately is Robotech. Now I'm not that familiar with the original cartoon but I'm always down for giant robot fighting action. I'll let Mr Muffin elaborate on this story but long story short, Toby Maguire is set to produce and star. Looks like Transformers opened the floodgates on all robot related properties as well as a few more classic cartoons. Is this a good thing? Hell no. Will I enjoy it? Out of all the movies that I've heard could be coming out there are very few that I think will do justice to their source material. We'll all keep our fingers crossed and hope we get a few decent films out of this pool of cartoons.

The Next Chapter has a Name

I can't help but get excited every time I hear something new about the next Indiana Jones movie. There is a lot I don't want to know but today we get a title and a little clue to what Indy is chasing after. And the name of the movie is...
The best part of the Indiana Jones stories is that each has a great blend of truth and mythology and this story looks to be no different. If you haven't heard of the crystal skulls they are one of the worlds great mysteries. There are supposedly 13 crystal skulls, with only five being found all over Mexico, Central and South America. Each skull differs slightly from the next, but they all defy explanation. They have been said to hold healing or mystical powers something key to every great Indiana Jones adventure. I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for more info as it comes. In the mean time check out these skulls and be amazed by the real mystery.
